I am 24 years old and have been unemployed for nearly a year. I’m finding that I don’t qualify for any of the free or low cost plans, but I’d really like to be able to see a doctor when I need one without going to the ER and getting a big fat bill. Any suggestions?

  1. There is nothing free in California. Even Medicaid has a share of cost unless you are in certain categories which you are not. You have to go to community clinics which charge on a sliding scale. Cant you even afford to join Kaiser?. At your age health insurance is as cheap as it gets.
