Your general practitioner should be able to answer any questions concerning STDs.

Especially if you are in an HMO, you always start with your Attending physician / family practice phycian, which is where I believe you indicate you have already started. Ask for a referral. A Dermatologist will know as much as a Urologist when it comes to just a rash and may have more suggestions than the Urologist since he can check you for allergies or sensitivies to laundry detergents, etcs which might leech out of your clothes when sweating. You might need to switch laundry or softener products. You might want to switch from jockey shorts to boxers, to allow greater air circulation to that area as it could be similar to “diaper rash” from perspiration. …. Your actual Question, before you elaborate on the idea of a pelvic region rash, states “male sexual health concerns”. All other male sexual concerns needing attention by a specialist should be directed to an Urologist, as the urinary system runs directly THROUGH the male reproductive organs and it would be an Urologist who would test you for prostate gland enlargement, male gland cancers or bladder cancers, undescended testes or other spermatic count problems in reproduction, etc. The Urologist is your ultimate specialist for male sexual health concerns and he will enlist other specialists, say endocrine, radiology or other cancer specialists as tests indicate.
